How your data is handled
PESU Dashboard is an unofficial student project. It isn't made by, endorsed by, or connected to PES University.
Your password
When you log in, your SRN (or PRN) and password travel over an encrypted connection to this site's server, which passes them straight to PESU Academy (pesuacademy.com), the same way the official PESU app logs in. The password is used for that one request. This site doesn't save it, log it, or send it anywhere else.
If you tick "Remember me on this device", your browser's own password manager may offer to save your login so it can log you back in later. That copy belongs to your browser, not to this site.
Staying logged in
After you log in, PESU Academy hands back a session key. It's encrypted and kept in a cookie in your browser that page scripts can't read. The server keeps nothing between visits: there's no database and no user accounts. Each time you open the dashboard, the cookie lets the server ask PESU Academy for your latest timetable and attendance. The cookie expires after 14 days, or sooner if PESU ends the session.
What's saved on your device
- The timetable and attendance you last loaded, so the app opens instantly and works offline.
- Your name, SRN and class, shown in the menu.
- The SRN you last typed, your attendance target and the tab you last used.
Logging out clears the saved timetable, attendance and profile and ends the session.
What PESU sends that we drop
PESU Academy's login reply also includes details like your date of birth, phone number, email and your parents' contact details. This site throws those away straight after login and never shows or saves them.
Who else is involved
- PESU Academy, where all the data comes from.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and runs its server code. Like any host, it may keep basic request logs (time, address requested, result). This site's own code logs only whether a login worked, never your SRN, password or session key.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, a check on the login screen that a person (not a bot) is logging in. It runs in your browser while the login screen is open and looks at signals from your browser, not at your PESU details. It stops this site being used to guess other students' passwords.
